AQA GCSE Graphic Products is a 2 year course which is taught in KS4 by Mr O'Callaghan and Miss Mohammad

Course Overview | During year one students will learn: Graphical representation of information, Presentation techniques, Pictorial and orthographic drawing systems , Modelling techniques, Use of ICT in designing and making, Use of CAD CAM in designing and making, the work of famous Graphic Designers and environmental issues. Whilst studying in year 9 students will choose and complete their controlled assessment and produce an ICT design folder and a practical outcome(s). During Y10 students will focus on examination preparation. Unit 1: Written Paper (45501) 2 Hours – 120 marks – 40% Candidates answer all questions in two sections (Pre-release material issued) Unit 2: Design and Making Practice (45502) Approximately 45 Hours 90 marks – 60% |
Winter Term | Students will be given the opportunity to develop their practical skills by responding creatively to design and make challenge. Students will investigate the design context, develop research skills, develop design ideas and create a final practical piece. Students will also learn about:

Spring Term | Students will begin to undertake their controlled assessment tasks. This is a chosen design and makes activity that will take students approximately 45 hours to complete. Students will produce an electronic design folder and a practical piece of work. Students will also learn about:
