Welcome to The Grange School Infants. We are a very successful school which provides a high quality of education for its pupils. We want your child to receive an excellent education in a happy and secure environment. We are committed to achieving the very best for every child.
Education begins at birth and the staff at The Grange School Infants are well aware of all you have done as parents before your child starts school. We now want to join with you in the next stage of your child’s development. We hope you will feel welcome in school and take every opportunity to be involved.
Our most recent OFSTED inspection was in May 2009 and the school was judged to be “Outstanding” as it was when it was previously inspected in 2006. The school has achieved the Basic Skills Agencies Primary Quality Mark, full accreditation for Halton Healthy Schools meeting National Standards, Arts Mark Gold and Active Mark and most recently, in May 2010, ICT Mark. See www.ofsted.gov.uk for the latest OFSTED full report.
Children who have their fifth birthdays between September 1st and August 31st may start school here in September. We follow the Local Authorities admission policy. Our transition programme includes an Open Afternoon for children and their parents, visits into school for children to spend time in the Reception areas and an evening meeting to inform parents about school life.
We hope browsing these pages will give you a small sense of our schools happy and vibrant community, which enthuses children with a love of learning.
Within The Junior School academic progress, pastoral care, mutual respect and a positive partnership with parents/carers are all regarded as high priority by every member of staff.
We work hard to create a learning environment which strives for excellence and which celebrates the achievements of everyone in our school community.
We recognise the importance of developing the whole child so that each individual pupil can grow up able to make a positive contribution to the society in which they live.
To achieve this we provide opportunities for all children to develop a range of skills within a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum.
We believe that all learning should be meaningful and engaging and that by encouraging respect for each other and valuing the opportunities available, we shall all grow and learn together.
