Curriculum Intent
Our intent is to develop confident, independent and skilled scientists, who are able to live safe and fulfilling lives.’
- Through providing a knowledge rich curriculum, and a challenging and diverse programme of study, students will develop a love for Science, encouraging students to investigate how the World around them works, by experimenting hypotheses and known theories.
- We aim to develop an understanding of the three scientific disciplines and how they link with each other and other curriculum areas.
- Curriculum time is allocated to raising students’ aspirations by opening up their minds to the World around them and how science can help to benefit them, their community and the World.
- Independent students who can evaluate and interpret a range of data and theories.
- Respectful students of equality, gender, class, race, sexual orientation and disability through a variety of cultural capital opportunities.
- Engaged in making positive contributions to society by being politically literate and appreciate the responsibility of the democratic process through SMSC opportunities.
