On Friday 29th November, we celebrated St Andrew’s Day. Throughout the week, we collected money for St Andrew’s House chosen charity of Halton Haven Hospice. Thank you to all students, parents and carers who kindly donated. Throughout the week, students from St Andrew’s House created art work to enter into a competition and the top entries were:
1st place - a student from 6M
2nd Place - Freya Boothman 5OI
3rd Place - Joseph McHutchinson 6M
All secondary forms took part in a form competition and the winning form is 8CLN
On Friday, primary students created The Grange Academy’s own Loch Ness Monster. Primary and secondary students both had a bake sale at break time which was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who either donated treats or purchased treats. At lunchtime, students were able to try traditional Scottish food such as Haggis, Neaps and Tatties, Scotch broth, Scotch eggs, Scotch pancakes, and Scottish shortbread. There was a wonderful buzz as students tried foods that they have never tried before. A great St Andrew’s Day was enjoyed by all!
